  • Is it safe to pay for my policy on the Internet?

    Yes. Our site uses 256-bit encryption that disguises and protects your personal and payment details and prevents them from being accessed by or disclosed to third parties.

  • Do I get a discount when I buy UIA Travel Insurance online?

    Yes, you can get an additional 5% discount when you buy your travel insurance with us online.

  • Do I need to keep the item I am claiming for?

    You must keep all damaged items as we may wish to view them. You should also collate any documentation that will support your claim, such as receipts, valuations, instruction booklets and guarantee cards. It may also be helpful to take photographs to support your claim.

  • How do I make a claim on my travel insurance?

    Call UIA as soon as possible, the number can be found in your policy booklet or by visiting our 'Contact Us' page. All calls are answered by our experienced claims handlers who are on hand 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Calls may be recorded or monitored for training purposes to improve the quality of our service. 

  • Don't I have to get my travel insurance from a travel agent?

    No! You can get a quote from us now. If you like it, you can simply buy online.

  • Can I choose the cover I need?

    Yes, we offer a range of options which include both annual multi trip and single trip with either premier or standard cover levels.

  • Can I cover my personal belongings on holiday?

    Yes, our additional cover protects you if your personal belongings are lost or stolen.

  • Are discounts available for families?

    Yes, our special family cover options could save you even more money. We offer cover for you, your partner and any number of dependent children under the age of 18, while children under 4 are insured free. Single parents can also make savings.
    Plus, you can get an additional 5% discount when you buy your travel insurance with us online.

  • Does UIA travel insurance cover me if I get swine flu?

    If you are diagnosed before departure you will be covered for cancellation and equally if you contract the illness while abroad you will be covered for your medical expenses. If you are quarantined, we would provide cover and costs for the extended duration and flights home at the end of the quarantine period. You can always use our travel advise helpline before you travel for further assistance (phone 0207 748 0671). Cover is subject to our standard terms and conditions.
